I am currently on my way back from Bulgaria, where I have been attending the Computer Space awards – an annual suite of competitions that cross the digital arts. My piece, To US.S..S… received the 2nd prize, with Daria Baiocchi and Felipe Otondo taking 1st and 3rd prizes. It was a great event, particularly having the opportunity to experience the digital arts show, which included a wide range of different creations (a solar-panelled Mars rover, a tank for growing mushrooms at home, a suite of historic and contemporary Bulgarian calculators, a 3D printed (self-firing) nerf gun… among others).
