Happy New Year, everyone!!!
Although we should, perhaps, be looking forward to 2026, I wanted to share a few really nice moments of recognition that arrived at the back end of 2025.
Most of these relate to Sounds of the Wetlands – a compilation album that Felipe Otondo and I curated throughout the first half of 2025, later published by Gruenrekorder.
Following it’s release, the album was listed as The Best Field Recordings on Bandcamp in Oct: https://daily.bandcamp.com/best-field-recordings/the-best-field-recordings-on-bandcamp-october-2025
At the end of the year, it was listed as ‘Best of 2025’ in two musical reviews:

Taken together, it feels that 2025 was an extremely successful year… now on to 2026…! I’m already plotting new pieces…
