The Research Excellence Framework (REF) has recently released results in which 48% of The University of Sheffield’s music research was judged as ‘world-learning’ – this was the 4th highest of any music submission in the UK. I was particularly pleased that feedback referred to ‘outstanding electroacoustic compositions’.

Sound Junction – The University of Sheffield’s electronic music concert series – recently took place in Firth Hall. Concerts features works by staff and students, and attracted substantial audiences for all events.
