My recent work – To US.S..S… – has received an Honourable Mention at the International Composition Competition of Electroacoustic Music, Destellos, Argentina. I am really proud to announce that my recent piece – Goodnight, Tin Hau – has made the shortlist for the 2022 Red Jasper Award in Music Composition. The final results are to be announced in March/April 2022, but in the meantime, I look forward to listening through the shortlisted works:

For the 12th year in a row, I have enjoyed being a jury member at the International Computer Music Conference (ICMC) – both music and paper tracks. This year, more than ever before, there were some astonishing pieces… I only wish that they were not anonymous!

In Dec, I was a jury member for the Denny Awards – electroacoustic section. I enjoyed listening through the works produced, and look forward to next time around. I was particularly pleased that Chen Wang – a composer and performer who is planning to undertake a PhD with me at LCC – received third prize…
