ICMC jury

I am very honored to have been invited to judge musical works for the ICMC2015, which is taking place in Texas. Unfortunately, I am unable to attend the conference, but I’m looking forward to hearing the various pieces that have been submitted.

REF results

The Research Excellence Framework (REF) has recently released results in which 48% of The University of Sheffield’s music research was judged as ‘world-learning’ – this was the 4th highest of any music submission in the UK. I was particularly pleased that feedback referred to ‘outstanding electroacoustic compositions’.  

Sound Junction – Sheffield

Sound Junction – The University of Sheffield’s electronic music concert series – recently took place in Firth Hall. Concerts features works by staff and students, and attracted substantial audiences for all events.
